Oliver trained as a freight forwarding clerk and initially remained with his employer, Aerotrans. Working in the charter department, he was quickly promoted to Director of Sales, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of 17 cargo airlines. This experience paved the way for him to join the family business, STR Destination Handling, in 1994. Just two years later, he was appointed Managing Director, with a focus on the leisure segment. Clients value his expertise and honesty – qualities that are essential in the travel industry. In January 2016, he co-founded STR proMICE together with Carol Kahmann. To unwind from work, he enjoys walking his dog in the forests near his new home outside Hanover and likes to share newly discovered wines with friends and family.
